RACE DESCRIPTION
The Freedom Run 10K/5K has always been a great way to kick start your 4th of July. In these unprecedented times, there seem to be more questions than answers. Downtown Greensboro Inc has cancelled the Fun Fourth Festival. In order to keep the long standing history and heritage of the Fun Fourth Freedom Run we are offering the 2020 Virtual Fun Fourth Freedom Run.
Why should you run the 2020 Fun Fourth Freedom Run virtual? You are supporting local! Downtown Greensboro Incorporated (DGI) is a non-profit development organization focused on stimulating investment and supporting activity in the center city. Keeping up the history and heritage – Freedom Run 10K is the longest running endurance event in NC!
What do I get? All virtual registrants get a race bib, 2020 event shirt, receive coupons & giveaways from local Greensboro businesses.The event remains in the Omega Sports Race Series!
Registration will remain open for Virtual Registrations until June 22nd, allowing us time to get bibs, shirts and schwag to you prior to July 4th. While you can run anytime you want, anywhere you want, we ask you to rally and run on July 4th. Sport your bib, get in your race distance(s) and be sure to take a post race finishers photo!
We can’t wait to celebrate Independence Day with you through running this race – even if we have to do it apart! On behalf of DGI and the Fun Fourth Freedom Run, thank you for your continued support.

Refunds policy: No refunds for any reason will be issued for this event. NO EXCEPTIONS.

CANCELLATION POLICY
In the event the race should be canceled for reasons beyond the control of the Race Director or Race Committee (inclement weather or unsafe weather conditions; local, state or national emergency), refunds will not be made, but race packets, including race shirts, will be available at a location to be determined.
RULES / GUIDELINES
Sorry, but for safety reasons, we do not allow dogs, bicycles, inline skates or any means of transportation other than running, walking or wheelchairs. Running baby strollers are allowed but must have a minimum of 6″ wheels. Race Director reserves the right to reject any entry or to remove any participant from the race course without explanation.
